How is PandemicVPN different from the other VPN services?
PandemicVPN is a business-level solution that has features so many other VPN services do not. We are a hardware VPN. No software needs to be installed. We are plug-and-play. We allow VLANs. We collect no user or traffic data.
How is a Hardware VPN solution different from a Software VPN solution?
Just connect your work computer to the BridgeBox as shown in the instructions, and work as if you were in the office. There’s no software to install. There’s no software configuration needed. Software VPN solutions can crash. If your VPN Management software crashed or the configuration changed, your VPN connection would stop working. This creates a remote support call to your IT department, and a headache for both of you.
Is the Setup as easy as it says on the site?
Yes. In just four (how many steps in our instructions?) simple steps you’re up and running. You can follow the video or diagram on our home page, or the instructions included with your BridgeBox.
How is it no technician is required?
Our PandemicVPN service is so easy to use even our Grandma can use it (we actually confirmed this!). Setup the BridgeBox. It’s truly plug-and-play. There’s no software to setup. Bring your work computer home. Connect it to your BridgeBox, and you’re good to go! If you need any help, you can follow the video or diagram on our home page, or the instructions included with your BridgeBox.
How is it no technician is required?
Setup the BridgeBox. Bring your work computer home. Connect it to your BridgeBox. PandemicVPN securely transports Layer2 Ethernet traffic from your work computer at home to the corporate office. This allows you to boot up the computer, and login to your local domain just like you are sitting in the corporate office. To explain further, when your computer boots up the physical MAC address of your computer will show up on the corporate network just like it was sitting at the office. It receives a DHCP address from the corporate network. The computer is likely assigned the same IP address that it had at the corporate office due to DHCP reservations. Proceed to use your computer as if they were sitting in the office. The same goes for VOIP phones, regardless of the model or protocol they use.
Will other people at my location have to use PandemicVPN?
No. Only devices directly plugged into the BridgeBox will be using PandemicVPN service.
Will I be able to access my company email?

So, the network resources you had available while in the office will now be available to you from home.

Does the BridgeBox provide wireless service?
We currently do not have a wireless-capable BridgeBox. However, you can connect a Wireless Access Point into your BridgeBox. Check back in the future, as we’re in the process of developing a wireless BridgeBox model.
How many people at our company can be connected to your service?
Virtually unlimited.
How many devices can be connected behind a single network?
PandemicVPN Supports IPSec NAT traversal (NAT-T). This means you can put about as many devices as you want behind a single IP address. So, our service expands to cover even the largest companies with tens of thousands of employees.
Why is VLAN Support so special?
Simple answer is so that you can safely access all the network resources at your office from wherever you are.
Does PandemicVPN collect user information or traffic data?
Some VPN service providers often collect data from their customers and sell it! The WANSEC PandemicVPN solution never collects your data. We never have any access to your corporate traffic. The hardware Layer2 Ethernet bridging model solution does not even require WANSEC to store VPN login credentials or certificates for corporate employees. WANSEC’s solution clearly provides an ease of use, level of functionality and robust security that is far ahead of the others out there.
